Youth Power Project
GCC and the Youth Power Project are collaborating on a cross-sector working group called Digital Needs For Democracy (DND). DND aims to formalize youth-written election-readiness and trust & safety standards for social media and digital service providers, encompassing platform & algorithm design, transparency, and effective youth and user consultation. By establishing a consensus amongst youth-led and youth-serving organizations, technologists, online safety groups, and pro-democracy organizations, it aims to unite industry leaders around common principles and recommendations to proactively address online harms.
